A New Egypt

From Exodus 1:8-22. We learn that new is not always better. The narrative of Exodus is set up for where it is going. God’s people are in Egypt by God’s hand and the king of Egypt is against the people of Israel. Furthermore this king is ultimately against their God. This passage (and ultimately the book of Exodus) is about whose God is real, trustworthy and powerful. This passage is about whose God can faithfully accomplish His Word.
