How Do I Get There?
Redeemer Church partners with the Sumner County Family YMCA. This is the place we gather on Sunday mornings for Sunday School and our Worship Gathering. We also gather here for other special events, including our Covenant Gatherings. Directions can be found on our Contact Us page.
Where Should I Park?
The Sumner County Family YMCA offers abundant parking in front of their facility. Simply pull in and park in the front and you may enter from the front doors. For directions, visit our Contact Us page. Upon arrival, someone from our team will greet you and give you further directions.
What Should I Wear?
We do not have any particular dress code. For the most part, we are a casual congregation, but you'll also find some that wear khaki pants or dresses.
What Does A Typical Sunday Look Like?
We suggest arriving to the Sumner County Family YMCA around 9am. Our Sunday School classes begin at approximately 9:15am. When you arrive, you are welcome to grab a donut and some coffee before making your way to the Sunday School class of your choice. If you have children, we will have someone check them in before taking them to their appropriate Sunday School class. Our Worship Gathering will begin at approximately 10:30am in the gym.
Infants & Kids Sunday School
We have age-appropriate classes for children of all ages (infants through 5th Grade). Children learn deep truth about God and God’s Word through curriculum from Children Desiring God. Upon your entrance to the YMCA, someone from our welcome team will ask you a few questions about your kids ages, and register your kids in our check-in system (for security), and they will show you the appropriate classroom for each child.
Student Sunday School
Our students meet together during Sunday School to explore God’s Word and discuss navigating the teenage years as Christ followers. The class includes all students, grades 6 to 12.
Adult Discipleship Studies
We currently have two Adult Discipleship Studies that begin at 9:15 on Sunday morning. Our current adult studies are:
Sharing Christ Relationally
Engaging the Lost Around You With the Gospel
How do you share the gospel with the lost people in your life? In this study, we'll learn ways to effectively share the gospel through our relationships with others. We'll discuss theological foundations and practical strategies to proclaim Christ. There will also be time devoted to discussing the specific issues you have faced with sharing the gospel with others.
A Study of 1 & 2 Thessalonians
Paul's letters to the Thessalonians give us instruction and encouragement on how to endure our current circumstances and live righteously in light what we know about the return of Jesus.
We also have classes for all ages ranging from infant through high school that also meet at 9:15am. Our greeters can help you and your family find the right classes that meets the needs of your family.
At 10:30am, we meet as a congregation to worship God through singing, praying, and hearing God’s Word. Childcare is available for infants through Pre-K. Kindergarten and older students attend the worship service with their familes.
Our Worship Gathering is simple in structure with a few basic elements: prayer, singing, Scripture reading, preaching, and celebrating the Lord’s Supper and baptism. The goal of each service will be to receive and celebrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Because the Gospel is the greatest need of Christian and non-Christian alike, we believe Gospel-centered services will be simultaneously evangelistic and edifying for Christians. Therefore, we will encourage members to invite people to worship as an entry point into Redeemer Church.
We conclude our worship gathering each week at approximately 11:45am.
